The EM250ul, a new linear type power supply, is designed specifically for use with short arc xenon, mercury and mercury(xenon) lamps in the 35 to 250 watt range. Its innovative linear design eliminates the concern for high frequency noise propagating to other electronic components.

35 TO 250 WATT SHORT-ARC LAMP POWER SUPPLY

The Ultimate Short-Arc LPS

Research Grade Performance

The EM250ul features research grade performance - less than 0.1% stability after warm-up. Noise and ripple measure less than 0.02% r.m.s. Line and load regulation is less than 0.1%. This superior performance is the best regulation in the industry; and it extends lamp life and reduces unwanted arc wander.

Safety Agency Compliance

The EM250ul is designed to comply with most world safety agency standards. For additional safety, we feature a unique interlock system which addresses numerous safety concerns.

Reliability and Quality Standards

The EM250ul is designed to perform under extreme conditions. Each power supply is burned in at an elevated temperature and line voltage for 24 hours, and is put through an exhaustive quality inspection before being released for shipment. This reliability is backed with our two-year warranty.

Utmost in Flexibility

The EM250ul offers the utmost in flexibility, and is easy to operate. Start the lamp automatically when power to the supply is applied. The state of the art single-pulse ignitor is an integral part of the power supply.  Control current from the front panel, or remotely by a computer.

Options and Accessories

Inquire about the many options and accessories, such as an optical intensity controller. Light intensity can be maintained through the life of the lamp

Easy to Operate

To operate the EM250ul simply plug in the detachable IEC 320 C-13 power chord to standard ac lines. Plug the lamp high voltage cables to the appropriate lamp terminals. Set the current control to the lamps nominal current, for example 7.5 Amps for an 150 Watt xenon lamp. Turn power on and after the preignition voltage builds up the lamp will start automatically.Voltage and current meters can be utilized to set the actual lamp power. Lamp current can also be monitored on pin 5 and 6 of the remote circular connector. This same connector possesses input pins to control the lamp current with a voltage source or a device such as our optional Optical Intensity Controller as described in the Options and Accessories page.
