The EM1000ul is designed to comply with most world safety agency standards. For additional safety, we feature a unique interlock system which addresses numerous safety concerns.
Reliability and Quality Standards
The EM1000ul is designed to perform under extreme conditions. Each power supply is burned in at an elevated temperature and line voltage for 24 hours, and is put through an exhaustive quality inspection before being released for shipment. This reliability is backed with our two-year warranty.
Utmost in Flexibility
The EM1000ul offers the utmost in flexibility, and is easy to operate. Start the lamp automatically when power to the supply is applied, or manually after the preignition voltage is at maximum. The state of the art single-pulse ignitor can be an integral part of the power supply, or detached and connected by special cable that eliminates power drop. Control either the lamp power or current from the front panel, or remotely by computer.
Options and Accessories
Inquire about the many options and accessories, such as embedded microprocessor controller and serial communication using RS232 to monitor conditions and control all power supply functions. With an optical feedback, light intensity can be maintained through the life of the lamp
Easy to Operate
To operate the EM1000ul simply plug in the detachable IEC 320 C-19 power chord to standard ac lines. Plug the lamp fan to the outlet provided and high voltage cables to the appropriate lamp terminals. Set the front panel lamp switch to manual if you are starting the power supply for the first time. Press in the power switch. Power switch color will change red (standby) to green (power on).
Push WATTS or AMPS switch to select the mode of operation. With the thumb wheel switch set the operating power (250 to 999 Watts)or current (5.0 to 50.0 Amps). The display on the right will display preignition voltage of about 130 Volts. Press the start switch, the lamp will start and green lamp on indicator will light.
The display on the left will show actual lamp power if the WATTS switch is lit. Press AMPS switch, it will light and display above will now show actual lamp current. The display on the right displays lamp voltage at all times.
EM1000ul is made to be controlled remotely via our Parallel Interface using windows type software on your PC extending features to include lamp life timer, lamp temperature monitoring and other user specified functions.With a device such as our optional Optical Intensity Controller light intensity and fluctuations can be minimized as described in the Options and Accessories page.
